PEN

Brave bards look at the world 
Being destroyed by men  
Hoping to reverse it  
They all pick up their pens 
Send words out to men's hearts  
Pray souls will read the pleas 
See what they are doing 
Is causing this disease 
Together we can right 
All these terrible wrongs 
And create once again  
Place we'll want to belong

Bio:

As far back as she can remember, Cindy J. Smith has written poetry, and with every experience in life, she has found inspiration. Wife, Mother and Grandmother, she has a myriad beautiful memories to draw from. Never having been good at playing the part of "starving artist", she has had many careers, but her current one, an over-the-road truck driver with her husband David, has provided amazing opportunities for inspiration in her later years.

Cindy has published two of her own poetry books; Voices In My Head and They Won't Shut Up, and more poems appear in more than five anthologies, as well as several books by fellow authors. Her third book, Rhymes Through Time, will be out within the next few weeks.
